When do I Sleep in Your Bed?

Its a constant question burning in the minds of us all. When do we make our move, its been said to wait for the respect that we deserve. However, if the night cap involves 4-6 glasses of Moscato with a light sound of R. Kelly in the background then it's OVER!!

So when do I say "Yes"? There are so many rules that are being used by women and men to play it safe. The rules create opportunities for any screw-ups to happen or loss of interest to prevail. Ladies are the ones who are faithful to the rules because we were taught that it will gain the love that we need. Also, keep us from catching fleas :) I will admit this is a "Catch 22" rules of the game; which means you can wait and lose him as well. On the other side, rules are meant to be broken and are broken by "First Nights". They don't care and are comfortable with everything. Most of the time, the chemistry is so electrifying that it's irresistible.

To keep it Real, no one wants to carry the burden of the after affect. Especially, if you talked as if your sh!t was outlined in platinum or you can move like the waves then completely FAIL!!! The phone calls will cease and you will be blown :( . LOL!! Don't talk for the record!!

Quite Frankly, I don't think its easy to say yes or no. As humans, we are filled with lust that yearns for the touch of the one who we desire. The question really is, "if I let you, can I trust you?"

Plant Seeds, the Right Seeds

I clapped my hands slightly to the side silently, his words touched my soul. He said, "Plant Your Seeds" which I have heard several times before but tonight it felt so brand new. He spoke of fertilizing the ground and harvesting your seeds to blossom into who you really are. He taught me, "how to love me" all over again! I soaked up every word from the time he spoke to the end, I shouted out silently from the heart as if I was in church. He overwhelmed me so much that a silent clap slightly to the side was the only reaction that I could give. Also, I sat-up front near the spotlight, so my shyness prevented my personal encore to the poet.

I thought about as humans, what seeds we are planting. He spoke of seeds that we plant and those of who come and plant seeds for us. We harvest all the seeds that are given, although they maybe good or bad. When referring to bad seeds, he is referring to us conforming to the thoughts of others about our skin, our hair, our thoughts, and the way we are. We accept the thoughts of what others may think of us negatively and we plant those seeds. Nevertheless, we plant bad seeds because we don't believe in ourselves.

It's time to plant your seeds, the right seeds.

Single Girl In the DMV World

While sitting in the sauna at the gym, I had a conversation with two ladies about being single. As I listen to them, their complaints were the same as I have heard across the board. There is not "too many good man left". I chuckled and mentioned that Essence has name the DC Area one of the "Single Men" Hot Spots. Their reaction was priceless, smhs and eyes widening which lead to "I don't believe it". I agreed with no hesitation, after thinking about all the guys I have dated. The conversation became deeper about what we want! The usual, single black man with a legal job, ambition, respectful, open-minded, honest, intelligent, speaks well, faithful and for perks versatility in style. For some, this may seem to be a lot but this is standard.

Well I have been single for quite a while and currently enjoying the dating scene. I have met guys everywhere from the store to the club. I have even let my girlfriends play matchmaker and set-up blind dates. I have tried everything and I mean everything!!! Some relationships were good and some weren't but it was a true pleasure to share his company. I just keep it moving with one less tear. I don't beg for you to come back, unless I think you're worth it. LOL!

Being Single in the DMV is quite hilarious!!! The things that I have encountered will entertain you, from embarrassing moments to "good night" kisses. Overall, I love my city! I believe he is out there and the ones I am encountering its just preparing me for Prince Charming.

I'm an Addict!!

Bad Habits... I can't help it and I am addicted!

No one on this God’s green earth is pure. We are humans that are seduced by many things that are unforeseen by others. Sometimes these habits can be seen as obscene and not easy to understand. Who Cares!!

Close your eyes and think about it, I bet grins are coming across your face. You've been very naughty but you liked it and probably DO IT AGAIN!! It's OK, guilty pleasures are vital to keep our sanity. It’s Human Nature like the Late Great Michael Jackson said!

Honestly, I believe we all have alter egos and the alter ego wins to fulfill the void! Eventually, our conscious may come to fight our battle, but who cares! I like it better yet I love it! Yes, I crave it and I want some more.

We all suffer from the inevitable of Bad Habits! It feels so good to be bad sometimes and the aftermath feels sweeter. In essence, we have skeletons in our closet having a dance off, which keeps us mysterious and adventurous to the world and ourselves.

On another note, be smart and considerate. Bad Habits are not worth losing everything or cause great pain to others.

Despite 2010 Blizzard in the DMV, we are still preparing for the biggest football game of every season. It's all about Pre-Game, Game, and the Post-Game and I am talking about events. We are either hosting or finding the hottest events to attend in the DMV to melt Jack Frost!

Ok, so I am not a DIEHARD Fan of the NFL, which most ladies aren't but we definitely know about the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl for most ladies is not about the game but who is watching it. Recently, I've have slaved myself to Sunday and Monday Night Football, for "single lady" purposes. It's been said by many, talk about sports and you can get his attention. For all "Attention" purposes, we are on the prowl! We are determine to wear our baby-tee football jerseys of our favorite team and our favorite pair of jeans. I will call it, "The Super Bowl Cutie Hunt".

Well, here is my prediction, I don't have one LOL!! I am leaning towards the Colts because they have the best stats and the NFL #1 Player Peyton Manning. I believe this will be a good game to watch! I will be tuning-in somewhere low-key with my t-shirt and jeans. After that, hit a Post-Game Event that I have seen on twitter.

Let's talk about Super Bowl entertainment, Halftime will have a very well-known rock band performing "The Who". The band has sold over 100 million albums and have charted 27 forty top singles. In addition, there are Pre-game performances by Keri Hilson, Rihanna, and Ne-Yo in Miami. As always, the Super Bowl will never get Super Old...lol!

It's all about commercials too, I can't wait to see the best one. They were kinda whack last year from what I remember. I am anticipating the Budweiser's commercials.

Any Kim Kardashian's fans will be looking for that engagement ring from her New Orleans Saints boyfriend Reggie Bush afterwards? I guess we will find out on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".

Ambition means a cherished desire

As society we have already been conditioned to have dreams and aspirations in life to chase. We have been told by thousands you can become anything you want when we're children, strong encouragement. Their encouragement drives us into making our endless thoughts into reality.

On the other side, here comes a few hills and bumps in the road that shifts our gears a little and then you begin to go parallel to the path that you were on. You still see your dream in the distance but you are now taking a slight detour. How strong is your desire to get back on track before it all runs in together then you become complacent.

We become complacent because it satisfies our lifestyle. You continue to ride it out although it was not in your plan to be where you are. So we justify this curve in life as fate by God. Yes, I believe God points us in the right direction but God help those who help themselves. So are you willing to help yourself back into your own direction with God's help by praying. Its not easy, but its your ambition that kills the fear of failing.

Look at Oprah, Jay-Z, Malcolm X, Michael Jackson, Frederick Douglass, President Obama, Tyler Perry, and MJB...etc. Life wasn't easy but they overcame many trials and tribulations to become who they are now. They realize their God-given talents, which God wants us to convey to the world. What's holding you back?

How bad do you want it? Personal Satisfaction.....

You are an amazing person and its up to you to explore the beauty that you withhold from yourself. We constantly express to our family and close friends our dreams of becoming something huge in our eyes. Are you ready? Its time to take the steps towards your destiny....

Prove the haters wrong!!! Some of us our driven by the nay-sayers....the ones who ridicule us for dreaming so big. In reality, they are upset they didn't act on their own dreams. They rather you roam with them while their walking the opposite direction of their dreams...Misery loves Company. Quite frankly, they have stop dreaming..smh!

In essence, do you! Recreate your path back to your childhood dreams because its possible. Turn on that undying ambition...
